QA Analyst

Kobie Marketing currently has an opening in our IT Division for a QA Analyst. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the entire software development life cycle process, including requirements, analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintain documentation to test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. He or she will be required to analyze test results to ensure existing functionality in order to recommend corrective action on issues that surface, consulting with development engineers on resolution of various issues and problems, as well as coordinating release packaging and maintain multiple test environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all written application documentation (test scripts, test cases, etc.)

• Perform code installs on QA, UAT and PAT environments as required

• Perform reloads of QA, UAT and PAT environments as required

• Maintain test cases and test data

• Perform software Quality Assurance testing

• Perform AdHoc client research

• Release management and packaging

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years QA testing of web based database applications

• Experience with software release procedures, release building, distribution and tracking

• Strong background in database application testing, SQL, web technologies and performance testing techniques

• General knowledge of SQL, JAVA, .NET, JBoss, IIS, WebServices, SoapUI and HTML

• Strong documentation skills

• Bachelor degree with a major in information technology, computer science, or closely related field and four years of experience in QA testing

• Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills

• Familiar with various PCs and Services, Microsoft XP, Microsoft VISTA, Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, and VMWare Server
