A Hit at the Box Office: AMC's Loyalty Program
For Theatre Giant AMC, Kobie Created a High Performing POS Experience to Reward Moviegoers for their Purchases.
AMC asked Kobie to provide a state-of-the-art, real-time, best-in-class loyalty program that would lead to greater customer engagement and incremental profits. The challenges were many: to develop and implement a multi-national, real-time POS/e-commerce loyalty platform for a newly designed loyalty program, to warehouse 20 years of legacy program data, and to migrate Movie Watcher members into the new loyalty program.
Kobie devised a comprehensive plan that included the development and implementation of a new, dynamic loyalty management system, and real-time integration with POS systems and partner data sources. We created a way to manage program enrollment, and track earnings at the box office, concession counter and online. In addition we integrated theatre guest service stations, including iPad devices as well as call center agents, and implemented dynamic social and SMS functionality.
The loyalty program was successfully launched and managed in all AMC theatres in North America. The AMC Stubs program successfully converted many of the Movewatcher members. As of November 15, 2011, the AMC Stubs program had a whopping 2 million members.
